Ho Chi Minh City Open University’s Online Bachelor Degree Program in Southeast Asian Studies provides students with basic knowledge of politics, law, economics, and the humanities and social sciences related to culture, tourism, and Southeast Asian studies.
Students are fostered in verbal and non-verbal communication skills, thinking and problem-solving skills, and make professional practice in the Southeast Asia culture – tourism.
The program methodologically trains students to organize and implement plans, work individually and in groups, and cultivate a sense of responsibility, country serving, and professional ethics.
Admission requirements
To enroll in the program, applicants have to meet either of the two admission requirements as follows:
- + Holding a high school diploma or an intermediate degree under the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
- + Holding an intermediate degree but have not yet graduated from a high school must be recognized as having completed high school subjects as prescribed.
- + Holding a bachelor’s degree in another major (be exempt from the equivalent credits).

The bachelor’s degree awarded by Ho Chi Minh City Open University is in the national qualification system, and its validity fulfills the postgraduate admission or the job recruitment.

The Online Bachelor Degree Program in Southeast Asian Studies includes knowledge equivalent to the on-campus program with a practice-orientation design. The program covers 32 subjects (126 credits) in the regular schedule occurring in 14 semesters. Students can accelerate program completion by increasing the number register of courses each semester based on the regulations. They have to accomplish these courses in the following order:
