On the morning of May 7, 2022, the Online Training Center – Ho Chi Minh City Open University successfully held a Livestream of the Consulting of Effective English Learning, with the topic Changing mindsets and learning methods Modern English. This is one of the regular extracurricular activities to develop students’ foreign language ability.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This live stream was for students of the Online Bachelor’s Program in English Language and the interested learners. The program had the participation of experienced lecturers from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ph.D. Nguyen Thuy Nga (Dean of the Faculty), Ph.D. Bui Thi Thuc Quyen, and MSc. Bui Do Cong Thanh. The program provided helpful information for learning English effectively in the current digital transformation age.<\/p>\n

The lectures talked about such content as necessary learning skills; time management strategies to overcome barriers to online English learning; how to improve motivation, initiative, and interest to maintain moderation in learning. In addition, they also answered many questions posed by students in the comments section of the live stream. Issues around how to self-study English well, improve communication skills, listening, speaking, translation; strengthen vocabulary, grammar, etc.<\/p>\n
