INTRODUCTION

Ho Chi Minh City Open University’s Online Bachelor Degree Program in Construction Management provides students with basic and advanced knowledge of design, construction, project management, and business management in construction.

Students are fostered in the correlation analysis between theory and practice (through experiments on materials, geology, and soil foundation), the assessment and appraisal of work quality, and effective communication (verbal and nonverbal) in the industry context.

The program methodologically trains students to organize and implement projects, work individually and in groups, and cultivate professional ethics and a sense of responsibility.

 

Admission requirements

To enroll in the program, applicants have to meet either of the two admission requirements as follows:

  • + Holding a high school diploma or an intermediate degree under the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
  • + Holding an intermediate degree but having not yet graduated from a high school must be recognized as having completed high school subjects as prescribed.
  • + Holding a bachelor’s degree in another major (be exempt from the equivalent credits).

Degree Credibility

The bachelor’s degree awarded by Ho Chi Minh City Open University is in the national qualification system, and its validity fulfills the postgraduate admission or job recruitment.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

The Online Bachelor’s Degree Program in Construction Management includes knowledge equivalent to the on-campus program with a practice-orientation design. The program covers 49 subjects (126 credits) in the regular schedule occurring in 15 semesters. Students can accelerate program completion by increasing the number register of courses each semester based on the regulations.
