Lifelong learning goals of 68-year-old student

On October 4, 2021, Ho Chi Minh City Open University held the opening of the online Bachelor’s program for nearly 600 new students. Perhaps this is a special day for Mr. Nguyen Nhu Hung (68 years old), a first-year law student, course 3/2021.

Mr. Hung graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the school in 1994. After that, he continued his master’s program, but his studies were interrupted because of life events. He thought his study path was over. However, the online training program rekindled his desire to study after three decades away from the lecture hall.

After he heard that the school had an online program, he was happy and decided to enroll because he believed in the quality of the school’s training. Contrary to the common apprehension of newcomers to online learning, Mr. Hung was very excited because he found that online learning is convenient in time and place, and he did have not to worry about learning interruptions. He chose to study Law because he wanted to improve his legal knowledge to help disadvantaged and difficult people in the locality when they had legal problems. He wants to be a good example for his children to follow.
