The conference “Innovating teaching methods and contents to improve training quality and international integration”
On June 8, 2017, the school of advanced study, in collaboration with The Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Cooperation & Research Management of the University, organized the conference Innovating teaching methods and contents to improve training quality and international integration” with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Van Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University, and the representative of faculties and departments in the University.
With the purpose of improving the teaching quality of lecturers and students’ learning activities in the fields of study of the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City, promoting the initiative and responsibility of lecturers and officials in finding solutions. On June 8, 2017, the school of advanced study, in collaboration with The Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Cooperation & Research Management of the University, organized the conference Innovating teaching methods and contents to improve training quality and international integration” with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Van Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University, and the representative of faculties and departments in the University.
The meeting focused on practical and effective solutions to improve teaching quality for formal programs and high-quality programs. At the same time, based on their experience and knowledge, each lecturer, official, and guest participating in the conference actively contributed ideas and offered measures of innovation management and teaching methods. These solutions aim to contribute to improving the training quality of the University.
The specific content must be mentioned in the discussion is the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of lecturers and students of the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City with lecturers and students from both Vietnamese universities and abroad. By the results, the seminar proposed solutions to test and evaluate students and manage the teaching process, solutions to improve teaching methods, and training to connect with businesses, and solutions towards promoting international integration in bachelor’s degree training.
