HCMC Open University and Tien Giang Portal together foster Lifelong Learning

With the aim of providing study opportunities for Tien Giang’s citizens, HCMC OU and Tien Giang Portal have signed an online training cooperation agreement.

 

 

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. Nguyen Minh Ha – Rector of HCMC Open University proudly expressed that this ceremony was not only bringing study opportunities to local learners but also fostering Lifelong learning in the Youth Unions.

 

“The signing ceremony highlighted another step in the University practicing its mission: promoting a society with active learning by offering the most flexible and obtainable methods of education to students.” – Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. Nguyen Minh Ha said.

 

Since its establishment in May 2016, the eLearning Center of HCMC OU has always received tremendous support from society. The University are cooperating with many agencies and organizations, such as the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province, Hanoi Community College, Ca Mau Community College, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Worker Support Center, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Company, Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountants and recently Tan Cang STC.

 

Currently, there are almost 3,000 students across the country and neighboring countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, etc. studying the online Bachelor’s Degree program including 9 majors: English Language, Law, Economic Law, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, International Business, Accounting, Auditing, Banking, and Finance.

 

Along with that, ELO will continue to implement short-term online courses, such as TOEIC, Korean TOPIK, and Auditor’s exam preparation, to meet the increasingly diverse learning needs of society.

 

The cooperation is believed to bring quality study opportunities to learners living in Tien Giang province. With the flexibility and obtainability, the training programs are the best choice for busy employees.

 

Besides signing the cooperation agreement, HCMC OU also awarded Tien Giang Portal members 10 scholarships valued at 600,000,000 VND.
