The opening ceremony of the online bachelor’s degree distance learning program, course 01/2021
On the morning of April 3, 2021, the opening ceremony of the online Bachelor’s program for the course 01/2021 was held at 35-37 Ho Hao Hon, District 1, HCMC. The signing ceremony of cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City Open University and VNPT HCMC Business Center also took place in the framework of the ceremony.
Representatives of the Confederation of Labor, there were Mr. Pham Chi Tam – Vice President, Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Lien – permanent member – Head of the Women’s Department, and Ms. Vo Thi Minh Phuong – Deputy Head of the Women’s Department; on the side of VNPT Business Center in Ho Chi Minh City, there were Ms. Trinh Thi Thu Thao – Director, Mr. Do Duc Trung – Deputy Director, Mr. Do Quang Trang – Sales Director of Gia Dinh Area; On the side of the University, there was the participation of Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Minh Ha – Rector, Ph.D. Le Nguyen Quoc Khang – Vice-Rector, Ms. Ho Minh Nhien – Vice President of University Trade Union, Board of Directors of Online Training Center and representatives of leaders of faculties, departments, and the participation of New students of course 01/2021.
The Opening Ceremony of the Online Bachelor’s Program course 01/2021 welcomed more than 600 freshmen of the Online Distance Learning system, with 10 training majors: Marketing, English Language, Business Administration, Business International, Human Resource Management, Jurisprudence, Economic Law, Accounting, Auditing, Banking, and Finance.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Chi Tam – Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor- highly appreciated the program’s value to the community. He expected the program to be increasingly improved and developed, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and promoting a lifelong learning society. At the same time, he thanked the University for awarding 20 scholarships worth 1.2 billion VND to trade unionists under the Union.
Within the program’s framework, the University has signed a cooperation agreement with VNPT Business Center in Ho Chi Minh City – Branch of Telecommunication Service Corporation – Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group to improve IT infrastructure for online training.
The opening ceremony course 01/2021 was held successfully, continuing a new development stage for the Online bachelor system.
