Ho Chi Minh City Open University received Investment Certificate in Hi-Tech Zone

GD&TĐ – On August 16, at the High-Tech Zone of Ho Chi Minh City, the Management Board of the Hi-Tech Zone awarded the investment certificate to the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City to implement the project: “High Technology Education Research Development Center.”

Accordingly, the project has a total investment of about 290 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2 years (2019 – 2020). This project has an area of ​​​​more than 8,985 m2 with a total usable area of ​​16,000 m2 with a research room of modern learning management software, a research room for online course development, studio rooms, internal data center rooms, and laboratories equipped with video conferences for different research groups.

According to the Board of Directors of the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City, when this center goes into operation, it will ensure the need for adequate and convenient facilities; create a standard of study, research, and working space. Moreover, it will create the best conditions for the rapidly developing application of science, technology, and high technology; help to perform optimal teaching and learning tasks; meet the needs of educational innovation according to advanced models in the world.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoai Quoc – Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Zone believes that this will be a project that contributes to promoting innovation and education reform. Besides, this contribution will create the conditions for high technology application in this industry.
